I

I graduated with a Fine Arts Degree which led to my interest in design and craft. I am an Elementary school teacher with a Masters degree in education and I hold specialist qualifications in Primary education. I have been building custom furniture for many years which led to my interest in wooden toys.

As an Elementary school teacher with over 25 years experience, I have a professional understanding of early childhood development. Wooden toys promote sensory play, creativity and connect the child to the natural world. Furthermore, wooden toys are durable, better for our environment and present no health issues for the user.

All material that I use is from sustainable Canadian sources. Unless otherwise specified all products are finished with 100% pure tung oil which is food safe. Additionally, the toys are dyed with food colouring so they are safe for young hands and mouths. 

I create pieces you can enjoy for years to come.  If you ever encounter a  craftsmanship issue, I will fix or replace the piece–you only pay shipping. With that in mind I would expect that the product was treated with care, concern and common sense.
